Abi Olvera serves as President and Director on IAPS’s Board, and is Executive Director at Capitol Abundance, which focuses on improving government capacity particularly around meta-science, medicine, and inter-governmental coordination.

She is also a Special Advisor at Golden Gate Institute for AI.

With ten years of experience as a diplomat with the Department of State, she has worked extensively on national security, international coordination, China issues, and emerging tech. She was formerly Senior Fellow at the Council on Strategic Risks and a Bulletin of Atomic Scientists Editorial Fellow on AI.

She has a master's from Yale University and bachelor's from the University of Richmond.
