Joe is a Research Analyst on the Policy & Standards team at IAPS, primarily focused on policies to ensure adequate transparency from developers of advanced AI systems. He was previously a winter fellow at the Center for the Governance of AI and a fellow at Rethink Priorities. He holds an MA in Technology Ethics and Policy from Duke University and a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont.
