Matthew Mittelsteadt

Matthew is a senior researcher for the Frontier Security team at IAPS. Before joining IAPS, he co-founded the AI and Progress Project at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, served as an AI Policy fellow at the Cato Institute, and worked in private sector healthcare technology. Matthew holds an MS in Cybersecurity from New York University, an MPA From Syracuse University, and a BA in Russian studies and economics from St. Olaf College.
